Half the time, the heat is welcome.There's lots of info spread around on how to install various older versions of Ubuntu under various older versions of Virtual PC, but I didn't find any referring to the newish Ubuntu 10.4 and VPC on Win 7. In another thread someone recomended just sticking to laptops but I run a email server, ssh server, mIRC server, a mail client with forwarding rules on my desktop box so I'm always going to have an always on PC at home. Some add on's to Alibre no longer run on W2k so I figure it is time to start planning a new box.

From what little I've seen of XP home, I didn't like it. I'm figuring on a pro version of 7, I've used W2k pro on my desktop (currently) and XP pro on my laptop.
